About Us
Oval Impex Pvt Ltd., was started in 2003, by pooling in resources of highly experienced professionals who had worked in different multinational companies in India. These professionals came with a vast experience in business management, global marketing, strategic sourcing, vendor development, product development, quality management systems and supply chain management. The company, today, exports products manufactured within the group and its exclusive business associates, to over 70 countries across the world.
India is a very complex country and one of the major problems, business enterprises in the small and medium segment experience is paucity of funds, due to the inability of the promoters of the company to provide collateral security. This paucity of funds, we realized, becomes a big impediment to execute the export businesses smoothly and to overcome this, the group started Tirugan, a non banking finance company, to primarily support the working capital financial needs of small and medium entrepreneurs, especially in Pune and its surrounding area.
By entering into exclusive business association with such select small and medium enterprises and by providing them working capital support, Oval is able to bring the best quality manufactured products at competitive rates to all of its global customers.
As part of its backward integration, the group set up amachine shop along with a stamping and fabrication unit operating in the name of Vilson Auto Pvt Ltd. The unit comprises of a battery of about 12 CNC turning centres as well as two VMC’s which are capable of machining various kind of grey iron castings and steel forgings. Thestamping unit has mechanical and hydraulic presses in the range of 20 ton capacity to 800 ton capacity, while the fabrication division is well equipped with CO2, TIG and MIG welding, painting and plating facilities.
In 2008, we pioneered the concept of Agro Tourism in India through its maiden project at Baramati, near Pune with the purpose of providing additional source of income to the farmers in rural parts of India by bridging the gap which exists between rural and urban India. Through this initiative, we have had a very positive impact to the lives of many rural populace and helped transform entire villages and their economies. Today, we at Agritourism Development Corporation support over 1000 villages across the country through the 1000 Agro Tourism centres that have been propagated by us. We take pride in instrumenting this movement in India, a work which has received global appreciation through several national and international awards that we have received at various forums across the world.
In 2012, Knotek International was formed to brings the vast professional experience available in the group for the benefit of the Indian and international business community. The company supports its clients to help them market their products in India or abroad, identify acquisition targets in India or abroad, support the complete M&A process, help foreign companies set up their offices or factories in India on turnkey basis and to help identify technology driven niche business opportunities in the Oil & Gas, Defence, Aerospace and Railroad domains.
In 2016, the group tied up with Manley of USA, to start the manufacture and sale of air, oil, fuel, hydraulic filters, water separators and air oil separators at a new ultramodern, dust free plant set up at Chakan, Pune. Manley manufactures the whole range of filters covering light commercial, heavy commercial, heavy earthmoving, generator sets, tractors and industrial domains. Products manufactured by Manley Auto Pvt Ltd., are sold across India through a network of over 30 distributors spread across the country as also exported through Oval Impex to several parts of the worlds
